Great for Shorter distance…way off on long distance walks
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I bought this pedometer based on the fantastic customer reviews. Followed all of the set up instructions and got walking. The reason I purchased the pedometer was for the 60-mile breast cancer walk training. Training walks varied from 3 to 18 miles and some back to back long walks (~30 miles over a weekend). For my shorter walks, up to 5 miles, the pedometer was pretty darn close. Once you hit around 7+ miles, the step count is WAY off. I would double check the pedometers accuracy through mapmywalk.com, consistently; the pedometer would be off by upwards of 5 miles! The difference occurred on an 18 mile training walk – said I walked 13.5 miles. This lack of accuracy helped when I participated in the 3-Day, but not great for the psyche during training. To prove my point one more time…I wore the pedometer during the 3-Day/60-Mile walk…Day 1 22.3 miles (pedometer 18.4) Day 2 22 miles (pedometer 17.9), Day 3 15 miles (pedometer 13.3).

    This is worth the purchase!

I love this pedometer. It is so easy to use and I never worry about bumping or losing it. Things I like are: not having to remember to zero it out; it gives me more than just my step count, it also lets me know how many calories I burn and how many aerobic steps I take; I slip it into my pocket, fasten the clip, and I’m off; it has a sleek design so I don’t have a big bulge in my pocket.

10,000 Steps a Day led to 22 pound weight release in 10 months!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Hi, my name is Joe Tufo. I’m blessed to live in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. Last Christmas I ballooned to 207 pounds the heaviest I had been in my life. I committed to a change in lifestyle and began walking every day.

I purchased a pedometer at a local sporting goods store. The name led me to believe that it was accurate. It was anything but reliable.

I went to my favorite website (other than my own) Amazon, and found my Omron GOsmart, “the pedometer with a brain” March 15th. In the past seven months I have released, not lost – it seems that every time that I’d lose weight that I’d want to find it again – 22 pounds, which is the most weight that I’ve dropped in my life. I turn 59 next month.

I was so impressed with the product that I’m writing this testimonial, which is something that I rarely do.

The difference maker in the case of this product is the fact that I have my own accountability partner with this device. You cannot cheat because it records every step regular or aerobic, it measures the time that you walk aerobically, it measures calories burned, distance, and doubles as a watch.

The USB cord allows you to upload the data to your PC-based computer and monitor graphs (I would prefer to upload to my MacBook but it doesn’t work on a Mac). To realize that I’ve walked 2,230,000 steps and 868 miles in seven months (it was broken for a couple of weeks in September and was replaced under warranty) is amazing.

If you’re really serious I exhort you to make this modest investment in your health. It’s made a big difference in my life and I’m confident that it will make a big difference in yours as well.

May God bless you exceedingly abundantly and may you achieve your fitness and health goals.

    Best Monitor

This is a very good product. I like how it changes to the next day starting from zero. It keeps your milage and steps for the week. Great stuff. It helps to motivate me to do alittle bit more exercise.
