Waste of money, not accurate or durable
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I purchased this for an aid in my running training. I spent a little more to get something that would be more accurate, but this definitely has not worked out to be the case. I run the same run every other day of the week. I recently heard about [...] and entered my route. What the pedometer was calling 6.95 miles was actually only 5.23. That is a big margin of error. I do have to say the pedometer was consistently inaccurate however, always giving the same distance. I entered my stride distance based on a measurement of 300 feet, so it should have been fairly accurate. For the money, you would also expect that it would be durable: also not the case. The pedometer began to malfunction completely after three uses.

Don't waste your money
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I purchased this because it was smaller than the others in the store and it was the most expensive, which made me think it was better. It's very hard to get the battery compartment open, which you need to do to get it started. I could not set my goal of 10,000 steps a day because I could not get it to erase the 1,100 that was already showing on the screen. After I went through the modes and set it up I put it on. In the 2-3 seconds it took for me to attach it to my pants it showed me as having already walked 17 steps. I took 5 and it had recorded 38. The mere act of slowly turning it over added an additional 11. It is not even close to accurate and was a waste of $40.

Don't Buy This Pedometer
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This pedometer appeared to be the one I was looking for in terms of function, size, and durability. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Similar to these other reviews, after some effort, I was able to get the back off to engage the battery, but was not able to securely close the back enough to have the battery have continuous contact. As a result, the device would constantly reset and I was never able to use the device as intended. I too am returning this product and will not purchase another Sportline.

design is flawed
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I still don't know how accurate it would be since I can't get the battery cover off to start it. It is a tiny, tiny screw and I went and got a tiny screwdriver, Phillips as per directions, and still I can't get it off. I think I have to go to a jewelry store for help.
It really is frustrating.

Like everyone else, I say, DON'T BUY IT
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Same problems as other people: the battery won't stay connected and the thing is generally a terrible piece of junk. I had a very cheap SportLine model that also gave me problems and I thought if I bought an expensive version it would do better. It is worse. SportLine is the only brand sold in my local sporting good stores--can't imagine how they cornered the market.
