Does a pedometer count the same for walking or running?
I just got a pedometer to track my steps throughout the day, but I want to know if it will work correctly if I jog on the treadmill or do any other kind of fast excercise. I had to input my stride length into the pedometer so it tracks steps specific to me, but if I run, won’t my steps be longer?
No it just counts the amount of calories you burn during the steps counting on you walking, the faster your heart rate the more calories you burn and the pedometer does not count this. If you do run its better to do so on the treadmill alone beacsue it counts the burnt calories based on how fast your going not on how many steps your taking.
